Started to play the keyboard: I started to play music in 1981 with an acoustic guitar. I proceeded to an electric bass in 1984 and played heavy metal through the 80’s with the bass. I sold the bass gear and bought a piano in 1992. I dedicated to play some Chopin before the age of 30 (managed to do that). After 1994 I played in various bands with various styles from pop, rock and Finnish dance music to heavy and progressive rock.
The best performance: 1,5 hours of progressive rock with Judas in 2008. Not the best gig I have played, but concerning the difficulty of the material this is one of the most pleasing.
Would love to play: Hardcore progressive rock (Zappa, King Crimson, Yes, Genesis). The more kinky it is, the better it is 😉
Wouldn’t play: There is nothing I wouldn’t play, at least once.
Favorite songs: I like nearly everything in the progessive era, here are some nice examples: Limelight – RUSH, Montana – Zappa, Supper’s Ready – Genesis.
The best thing about Atrum Materia: Those four hard rocking nice fellows.
